CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Olivia
For a Thursdayâor if weâre being technical, Friday morningâTease is quite busy. Youâd think on a weekday people would be heading to bed, so they are bright-eyed for work in the morning. No such luck. The place opened early with the new schedule, and Dave had to call in some more girls to pick up the pace. I wasnât meant to be on tonight, so I only agreed to come in to take my mind off things, but all itâs done is resulted in a mood I canât seem to snap out of.
Not only do we have two stag parties in tonight, but we have a Labour party who are here celebrating an election or something. Theyâre joined by the opposing team, which for us means a bunch of men trying to act cooler than the other. All theyâve done is make themselves stand out and look like idiots. Theyâve highlighted the fact they are all slime bags who only think about money. Youâd think with what they make in a week, they wouldnât be so tight with the cash. But they are, and they treat us like weâre low-grade citizens begging for a handout. Doesnât matter that their arses are sitting here spending on the taxpayersâ dime.
I need to go on my break, but once again, Iâm called back to the Labour table. The guy waving me down must be in his late forties. Heâs heavy around the stomach, has thinning hair at the back of his head, and likes to click his fingers to get my attention. The fact I can hear that damn clicking over the music, speaks volumes. Iâm not a dog, so if he clicks them at me one more time, thereâs going to be an accident.
âYour waitress will be with you soon. The bartender is just pouring your drinks,â I tell him when I reach the table.
âTell them to add the bottle,â he tells me without meeting my gaze. âAnd get someone to clear this up. You arenât at home. This is a place of business.â
I take a look at the mess on the table, and a few things come to mind. One: he and his friends are the ones who have made the mess. Secondly: I want to tell him he doesnât get to order me around like I work for him. Either Dave needs to put up a sign about how to speak to us, or get comfortable real quick with us girls doing something about it.
âRight away,â I mutter. As I turn, I make sure to put my weight behind it, so the tassels on my skirt smack the side of his face. I pretend I donât hear him yelling at me in pain and move to the table I was clearing before he started clicking those damn fucking fingers.
I grab the tray after cleaning up, and start on their table. I avoid getting too close to the man in question so I donât get roped into another conversation.
I need
